What makes SOAVO natural cosmetics special?
SOAVO stands for the highest quality of natural cosmetics - made in Austria. We pay particular attention to the biological active ingredients. That is why we rely on a FARM-TO-SKIN philosophy, on fine raw materials from our own organic cultivation project. Mountain lavender, mountain lavender water and selected alpine plants are the heart of SOAVO recipes. All formulations are based on natural and bioactive plant ingredients of premium quality, hand-picked and carefully selected for purity, skin compatibility and effectiveness. The emulsification and preservation of our SOAVO products are also plant-based. Our products are vegan and free from animal ingredients.

SOAVO uses certified organic plant ingredients: valuable plant extracts, purest essences, precious plant waters and cold-pressed, bioactive plant oils and seed oils. The high-quality ingredients are hand-picked and carefully selected for purity, skin compatibility and effectiveness, and tailored to the desired care effect.
What does Farm to Skin mean for SOAVO?
SOAVO focuses on regionality and the highest quality raw materials. SOAVO natural cosmetics are made with raw materials from our own organic farming project in the alpine region of Upper Styria, Austria. ( www.berglavendel.at ) Mountain lavender, mountain lavender water and selected alpine plants are the heart of SOAVO recipes.
Why does mountain lavender play a central role in SOAVO?
The mountain lavender in the SOAVO recipes allows you to recharge your batteries with peace, clarity and serenity. We are fascinated by its uniqueness, its variety of uses, its beguiling violet beauty and its active ingredient power. Its quality is also unique at this altitude in Austria, over 850 m above sea level on a steep, sunny slope. Mountain lavender is our ally - for beauty and health, but also for purity and originality. Mountain lavender is a highly aromatic "soul plant"; it literally lets stress go for a bath and makes you forget tension. The effect is balancing - relaxing and gently invigorating at the same time - on the skin and senses. We have selected alpine plant scents and active ingredients in such a way - without emphasizing the typical herbal note of lavender - that a light, fresh and elegant scent could be composed based on our main plant, mountain lavender.
What does Clean Cosmetics mean for SOAVO?
The SOAVO formulations do not contain: synthetic fragrances, preservatives or dyes, petrochemicals, paraffins, PEG, PPG, synthetic additives, parabens and silicones.
Do SOAVO products contain flavors?
SOAVO only uses 100% pure organic essential oils. No synthetic fragrances are used. All essential oils are carefully selected and of the highest purity, organically grown and extracted using traditional steam distillation or pressing.
Where are SOAVO products manufactured?
All SOAVO products are developed and manufactured in Austria. SOAVO prefers to work with regional and alpine plant raw materials.

Is SOAVO natural cosmetics?
All SOAVO ingredients comply with the international guidelines for controlled organic cosmetics (ie the Cosmos Standard and NaTrue cosmetic seals). Some SOAVO products also carry the AUSTRIA BIO GARANTIE cosmetic seal for certified organic cosmetics.
Do SOAVO products have an expiration date?
SOAVO natural cosmetics are based entirely on plant-based ingredients; they are purely natural and free from chemical ingredients and preservatives. The label bears a symbol, an opened cream jar; inside this symbol is a number indicating the months in which the opened cosmetic product can be safely used. Please use SOAVO products within 6 months of opening.
What kind of preservation does SOAVO use?
The following applies to SOAVO: All natural – 100% plant-based active ingredients. All formulations are based on natural and bioactive plant ingredients of premium quality. Emulsification and preservation of SOAVO products are also purely plant-based: a mild preservation system consisting of organic essential oils, plant-based antimicrobial agents and, in some products, organic alcohol.
What does Bio Alcohol Denat. mean?
The INCI label (International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredients) applies to cosmetics in the EU.
This specifies exactly how ingredients must be named and declared. Alcohol must be declared as either "ALCOHOL" or "ALCOHOL DENAT". "DENAT" refers to the so-called denaturation, ie the addition of additives that change the smell, appearance or taste of the alcohol in such a way that the consumption of the alcohol is prevented.
For the organic alcohol at SOAVO, we have found a natural solution - with the approval of the customs office: We use the best organic alcohol and the best organic lavender oil to "denature" the natural preservative alcohol in accordance with the law and customs regulations. Without any chemicals and without synthetic denaturants.
Is SOAVO packaging recyclable?
When it comes to packaging, SOAVO also places value on sustainable, environmentally friendly and resource-saving criteria in production and the disposal of packaging material. All SOAVO packaging materials (brown glass, PET) are recyclable. Despite the higher prices, the packaging is sourced from an Austrian packaging supplier because regionality is important to us!
Which skin type is SOAVO natural cosmetics suitable for?
All products are unisex in terms of formula and fragrance and are suitable for all skin types. People with dry, sensitive and moisturized skin particularly appreciate the SOAVO care line.
How do I use mountain lavender essential oil?
Lavender oil is one of the most versatile essential oils with a wide range of effects and applications. Mountain lavender can be used to scent rooms or for personal aroma care.
Tip for room fragrance: Add 3-5 drops of essential oil to the water-filled bowl of a fragrance lamp.
Tips for natural skin care:
Body oil: Mix 15-20 drops of essential oil with 100 ml of organic vegetable oil (almond, jojoba, wheat germ).
Facial oil: Mix 3-5 drops of essential oil with 50 ml of organic vegetable oil (almond, apricot, evening primrose).
Muscle & massage oil: Mix 10-15 drops of essential oil with 50 ml of organic vegetable oil (St. John's wort, sesame).
Aromatic bath: Mix 5-10 drops with 2-3 tablespoons of honey or cream and add to the running bath water.
The general rule for essential oils is: Do not use undiluted. Avoid contact with skin and mucous membranes (undiluted). Store out of reach of children.
How do I use SOAVO Face Oil?
Apply 3-5 drops of facial oil - ideally after cleansing and toning the skin - and massage gently into the skin in circular movements. Avoid eye contact. Use morning and evening, ideally in conjunction with MOUNTAIN LAVENDER WATER. As a care booster, add a few drops of FACE OIL to your daily moisturizer. For intensive care of particularly dry skin areas, mix a little of Moisture FACE OIL with Balance BODY LOTION and apply to the body.
How do I use SOAVO Body Lotion?
After showering or bathing, apply the Balance BODY LOTION to slightly damp skin and massage in gently. For daily use. The light, pleasant texture is quickly absorbed. Ideal in combination with the mild Active BODY WASH.
How do I use SOAVO Body Wash?
Apply Active BODY WASH to wet hands or a damp sponge and massage onto damp skin, then rinse. For daily use.
How do I use SOAVO Hand & Body Spray?
When required or several times a day, spray Hand & Body Spray finely onto hands or body. To ensure that the spray is distributed evenly over the skin, please spray evenly from a distance of around 20 cm. Do not use on the face. It can be used as an invigorating body spray, an elegantly scented body tonic or for effective cleaning of the hands.
